Recently turned vegetarian /pescetarian, can anyone recommend some good recipes? (Nothing involving tofu)?!

My favorite website for vegetarian recipes is http://vegweb.com/. They have TONS of categories (ranging from the ethnicity of food, to ingredients, to type) and you can do searches and they even forums. Another good website is http://allrecipes.com/ because you can do an advanced search where you can check Vegetarian as an option, pick a category of ethnic food and even list ingredients you want or don't want.
Anyway, I have a huge recipe book that probably weighs like 10 pounds, and I get a lot of recipes from these sites.
Vegetarian.
Quorn have pretty much everything you need to replace meat, so you don't need to alter any recipies or change dinners you are having with other people, you can just do your own portion with that instead of meat. They have a Quorn cookbok out too, so it might be worth having a look at that for ideas that you can cook for your family too. My family all eat meat, but they don't eat beef mince anymore - it's always veggie mince just becuase they like it better, so you don't have to be the odd one out! You can also use a lot of things like chickpeas/lentils in Caribbean style food, which is really healthy and versatile.
ive found loads of good meals using google. type in vegetarian meals. you will find delightful food. my meat eating husband looks enviously at my meals. theres loads of websites and very easy to find.

Breakfasts
Wholegrain bagel with cream cheese and red onions
Yoghurts
Cereal with milk
Porridge with milk, and seeds mixed in (seeds are very healthy)
Granary toast with spread such as low fat margarine, or fruit jam!
Fruit smoothies
Fry up - vegetarian sausages, served with beans, potatoes, egg (the good thing about this meal, is that it's healthy! but it tastes like it's quite fatty because it fills you up! great if you're having a meat craving..)
Fruit salad
Lunches
Wholegrain sandwiches with whatever filling you like, peanut butter and jelly (make sure it's vegetarian jelly), or avacado and salad, make sure to add something like spinach so that you're getting enough iron (don't worry, you can't taste the spinach if it's mixed with other vegetables)
Pasta salad
Couscous salad
Pizza
Baked potato with sides of - salad, cheese, beans
casserole
noodles
Main meals
Pasta with sauce (make sure it's wholewheat (brown) pasta, and make your own sauce if possible),
vegetable fingers (the ones covered in breadcrumbs) with steamed potatoes and veggies
Home made soup served with warm bread rolls
Spaghetti bolognese made with a meat alternative, and spaghetti
Vegetable curry
Nachos! with dips
Home made pizza (in moderation) with all your fave veggies on it
Vegetable burgers
Cheese on toast - melted, with red onion on top
Beans on toast, you can add stuff like chopped spring onions, to add a bit more flavour and colour..

Hello, you are not a vegetarian by any means since you have not given up all forms of meat, but this is a stepping stone to becoming a real vegetarian. If you grew up on fish it may be harder for you to give it up and it sounds like it's easy for you to obtain /cook.
Since you don't want tofu, for protein in your meals you're going to want a type of bean or nut. Mediterranean dishes call for beans a lot and has a wide variety of citrus and vegetables so that is a good start. When I am looking for a complex recipe like this, I google the recipe, putting the word 'vegan' in front of it or if there are no vegetarian alternatives to it, I just read the recipe and veganize everything (in your case, omitting the fish and vegetarianizing the recipe).
