I want to be vegan-help!?!

the first few months will be the hardest, but once you get past that hump you will not crave animal products. i no longer look at animal products as food. when i see beef i see it as a cow, pork as a pig, cows milk is for the baby cows and so on!
the amount of protein that we need nto very much, and you can get protein in pretty much everything!
people are eating way to much protein on an animal based diet and too much protein stops other vitamins from doing there thing.
so on a vegan or vegetarian diet you will never have to worry about protein. have you every heard of protein deficiency, No! cause there is no such thing!
vegan for 10 years
I think if you don't like Vegan-only foods then you should really consider whether being a vegan is right for you. Personally I eat meat and think it's a very important part of your diet as it gives you much needed protein and warmth during the winter.
I admire those with the will power to become a vegan if they really feel that strongly about it, but I also think these people are lucky to have the choice- if they lived in the 3rd world and were starving hungry then they would not reject meat or any sort of food. I see Vegans as fortunate that they're able to make that choice.
As part of nature animals kill other animals for food and our jaw is equipped naturally to eat meat, although if you do feel strongly about animal cruelty then I wish you good luck.
Personally I do think being a vegan is a bit extreme, just because something comes from an animal (milk, honey etc) does not necessarily mean the animal has been harmed. You're not even a vegetarian at the moment, so maybe you should try that before being a vegan!
Good luck with whatever you decide. Sam
There are tons of faux-meats and vegan dairy products that can help, many of which are more nutritious than their animal product counterparts.
Check out Boca, Morningstar, and Amy's brands.
Good luck!
