Does Almond milk expires in 7 days only?!

Question: Does Almond milk expires in 7 days only?
I am confused because a lot ppl say it expires in 7 days, I buy Almond milk (orginal). If it expires in 7 days , why does it have an expiration date saying Janurary 28? I just bought it 2 weeks ago. It is not 7 days, but 2 months from now. December to Janurary.

Answers:

i use mine past 7 days.

If you don't open it it probably could last 2 months. Idk about an open container.

according to the Blue diamond almond milk site its good for 7-10 days after its opened.

Good thing I"m not dead now I guess haha.

Just like soy milk, unopened almond milk can be kept on the shelf indefinitely (or at least for a very long time) without degrading. Of course if you're keeping extra almond/soy milk in storage, you want to keep it in a cool place (like a kitchen pantry) to be sure. The reason some almond and soy milks are refrigerated and some aren't is partially simple marketing (refrigerated soy/almond milk just seems a bit more like how one would think a milk-like product *ought* to be sold), and partially just because a lot of people want their milk product to be chilled before they buy it, so it may be enjoyed cold immediately. The assumption with the expiration dates is that you're likely to open the carton pretty quickly and after that the product will (eventually) go bad, but it takes a while. Another reason for the expiration dates is just so consumers will feel comforted knowing that they've got a fresh product. Hope this info is helpful. I love almond milk myself, and though I buy it frequently, I use enough to warrant keeping a backup container in the cupboard.

I use Almond milk on cereal and in recipes that call for milk, so I don't usually use it up in 7 days after I've opened it. It takes me usually about two weeks to finish a container, and it still smells and tastes as good as when it was opened. So, I'd definitely say no, it does not expire in 7 days only.

My cat loves it too...and they say cats will not eat rancid or bad food...she happily begs for it and drinks it up, even around the 2 week mark and neither of us have ever been sick from doing this.

I use Almond milk regularly.

I have a carton of almond milk in my fridge which has been there for over a month by now. I drank some yesterday and it was totally fine. Just make sure you refrigerate the carton and keep it closed properly, it will be fine for much longer than 7 days. As well as that, you won't be harmed by drinking off almond milk anyway. :)

If left unopened, the package you bought would possibly expire on January 28th. Once opened, it sometimes has a shelf-life of seven to ten days.

I do the sniff/taste test if the milk has been opened for longer. I've had hemp milk last three weeks (21 days) after being opened.

yup once u open it then u gota refrigerate it n finish that open container by the 7th day or throw it out
also pacific natural foods hazelnut original tastes about a hundred billion times better than almond milk but its the same dealio expiration wise anyway but u will wana drink it much faster or even their pacific natural foods lowfat vanilla select soy 4 like the satsun macchiatos so ya haha

It doesn't, just keep it in the refridgerator like regular milk. I drink the stuff all the time.
