I want to know about the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle?!

Question: I want to know about the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle?
Okay, so I see questions on here concerning vegetarian/vegan stuff, and I've personally been a meat-eater all my life. I don't plan on changing that, but I would like to know more about how vegans eat. Some have mentioned how they have so much energy. And I also know it is extremely healthy. But I'm not saying that I think meat and animal products are unhealthy. So, can you tell me types of foods/diets you live by, if vegetarian/vegan? This is interesting, might even try it a few days sometime just out of curiosity.(:

Answers:

Curiosity is a good thing. I understand you made it clear you don't want to be preached to, but I just want you to know that science has proven that excessive meat and animal products ARE unhealthy; it's not just our opinion. But I do it for animals and I don't really care about my health.

Vegans should eat a variety of grains, vegetables and fruits. I mostly just eat whole wheat pasta with tomato sauce because I love it and it's easy to make. Then I like to go to explore vegan foods in my local health food stores, vegan restaurants in New York City, and recipes on vegweb.com and other sites. So far there is nothing wrong with me...

la choy chow mein noodles (crunchy), steamed veggies with steamed rice, salads, salsa, mac and cheese! and fruits, lots of watermelon, grapes, apples, oranges, some bananas. haha, as you can tell, i am not truly a vegetarian. i just don't eat meat. i think most hardcore vegetarians avoid dairy products, and all animal tested products, etc. and pop tarts. so just focus on organic foods that aren't animal products and you should be okay.

I am a part-time veggie, i.e. I go on days without eating any meat or fish. But I'm not vegan, as I do eat cheese and eggs.
From what I know, veggies rarely get bowel cancer, or cancer of the colon or intestine. This is because the more complex proteins you eat (such as animal protein), the more complex the diseases you might get (such as cancer).

im healther now than i used to be, i wasnt very aware of my diet or what things i would be lacking for a long time, then, i learned, and my health got better,

my diet is one that stays the same for a while then changes, right now i eat a lot of veggie curry and soups,
