1. 5'5" and 149 pounds isn't fat. It's still within a healthy weight range. They're only "vanity" pounds that you want to lose.
2. Two plates of food a day isn't making you fat, unless they're enormous plates piled high with chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy. One trick is to fill half the plate with (non potato) vegetables, one quarter with the starch, and the other quarter with the protein. If there's not enough vegetables to do this, make more.
3. Eat plain oatmeal made with water for breakfast.
4. Aside from the oatmeal and "two plates of food," don't eat anything else during the day but fruit and vegetables.
5. If you can't go out alone, maybe you could go out running with a friend. Or they probably have a track at the Y or at school you can use. Jog a couple of miles a day (start out walking if necessary and build up to it).
Well, first of all, figure out why you have excess fat. Is it from not exercising enough? From eating too much processed foods (esp. white flour, white sugar....). I.e. foods that have little nutritional value but lots of carbs.
Two plates per day? Of what? What are you talking about? Most people have three meals per day, not two.
So, I eat LOTS of food, but never gain any weight. Why? Exercise. Cardio exercise. You want to get out there and exercise. Put on your shoes and go run around the block. All it takes is as little as 10-20min a day. Just go as hard and as fast as you can and try to improve each time, no matter how little. Walking or jogging won't do it. Run. You want to raise your metabolism so you can eat more, but weight less (that is, have less fat). Eat more fruits and vegetables and skip the crackers, cookies, and junk food.
Eat less calories than you burn. Two plates and you throw up from overeating?! I eat a LOT more than that, and I am 5 '3 and 108 pounds. So unless you are eating two plates full of McDonald's, I don't think that would equal you being overweight unless you have a very slow metabolism. Eat more fruit, protein, and vegetables and less carbs.

Extra curricular activities! Join a volleyball or basketball team, it's an easy way to start dropping pounds because you have more motivation to work hard when your team depends on you. Also FOR SURE DO NOT- eat late at night, eat out, or starve yourself, trust me, anorexia is worse than being a thousand pounds. FOR SURE DO - choose low-calorie foods when you can, drink lots of water and do your best to stay active. Good luck!
Hey sidra
Before i say anything, i think your stressing yourself way to much is very unhealthy for you. Relax * chill. Your lucky your paying attention to ur diet so young (u still have time)
First: be confident and take the decision that you want to loose weight
Dont go on a strict diet.. trust me i tried everything and that especially didn't work.
Exercise for exercies! You can exercise at home if you'd like. Do daily exercises for about an hour in your free time to increase burn of calories. Or go to the gym ;)
Drink lots of water! 8-10 cups a day (you'll get used to it)
Have a balanced diet ;suggestion right down what your going to eat if you cant control, add foods to your list and add up calories.
Find out what your daily calorie intake is: weight x 20 (if you DONT exercise) / weight x 25 (if you exercise)
Reduce fat and when i say reduce i don't mean prevent.. eat everything you want in SMALL quantities soon your body will get used to small meals.
Base your snacks on fruits or veggies (e.g. make a fruit salad )
ENJOY your diet, its the best way to succeed... dont prevent yourself from any foods just eat all you wish for in small quantities !
My advice is don't stress yourself and take your time. In a month you'll feel different.
My experience :)
you should sit downand express to ur aunt and uncle thata u are not happy with urself. u need to take inituitive and not give up (: do small exercises in the home such as sit up, push ups, and lunges. ur only thirteen u will slim down as u mature. just relax and take it one day at a time.

Eat less calories than you burn.
1 Dietary Balance and reading labels: watch what you eat, and expend more energy than you consume. It’s really that simple. This involves some calculation. Eat less and eat at least five meals a day. Your actual caloric requirement can differ depending on your height, weight, activity level and your body's metabolic rate.
2 Identify your exercise. No exercise was created equal. You might like running, so run. You might like jogging, so jog. You might like stationary bikes, so bike stationary. Find the one that works best for you. Don’t pick a routine that you don’t like and won’t stick with it for long.
3 Try yoga. Yoga is one of the best ways of losing weight. Of course I can’t go into a full lecture about yoga over here but I can tell you that I have never seen people with better-toned bodies than those who practice yoga. One of the benefits of yoga is that you learn to control virtually every muscle and joint of your body so that the issue of weight gain will cease to exist.
4 Photos and Joining online support group : Take before and after photos. There’s no easier way to illustrate your progress. It’s essential that you not feel alone, and reaching out to friends helps as they know things that you couldn’t possibly know, and they’ve probably been “in your shoes” at some point in the past (or present). Share stories, laughter, tears, successes, and failures. There are thousands of communities out there, so keep looking until you find one that fits you.
5 Water you waiting for If you’re not drinking enough water, your body will let you know. Thirst is an amazing sensation – quench it. If you’re not hydrated, your body won’t be working at peak levels. If you’re worried about “water weight,” remember that you’re likely to retain more water when you’re not giving your body enough of it in the first place. I’m not going to dictate how many glasses you should drink, though – as that’s going to vary from person to person.
6 Zone out. There’s a reason why people exercise to their favorite music – listening to external stimulus takes your mind off of the physical activity making “exercise time” fly or situate yourself in front of TV or video games involving exercises.
7 Dance Out Do Salsa, tango, swing ,hip-hop dancing etc. Anyone can do it,keep in mind you are dancing to increase your physical activity, so there is no pressure on how well you perform dance. Who knows you might even learn a cool dance move or two
8 Sleep it off. To be an efficient fat-burning machine, If you think that you’re doing yourself a favor by sleeping less, you’re mistaken. Give your body time to rest itself, both mentally and physically. Sleep is very, very important.
9 Keep a food diary. All you have to do is jot down what, when, and how much you eat in a notebook, or you can do it online at a Web site . A food diary gives a clear picture of your current eating habits so you can identify the changes you need to make to lose weight.
10 Be motivated. You need to believe in yourself!. Learn to evaluate your efforts fairly and objectively. When you have thought of giving up, visualize how good you will look when you manage to slim down successfully.
