Do the mono- and di- glycerides in apple pie make it vegan?!

Question: Do the mono- and di- glycerides in apple pie make it vegan?
I'm vegan and trying to figure out if I can eat my favorite dessert (bought from a store - I know I could bake my own vegan friendly one)!

Mono/di-glycerides can be vegan or animal based. The only way to know for sure would be to contact the manufacturer of the pie in question.

I personally wouldn't recommend eating any store bought pie though. I've never found one that actually tastes good (i.e. not ridiculously sweet to the point where you can't taste any actual fruit), and it's really so simple (but maybe time consuming depending on the type of pie) to make your own.

I'm a vegetarian and not a vegan so I'm not being a stickler, I'm just helping you because it seems you're pretty strict with yourself and want help. I'd look to see if the crust has butter in it if I were you because butter is non-vegan. I dont' know about the glycerides though, sorry.
