I agree. Somebody who doesn't eat the flesh of another animal. Pretty simple. Obviously fish falls into that category.
Vegetarianism is a conscious way of eating, and involves the practice of following a diet which includes fruits, vegetables, cereal grains, nuts, and seeds, with or without dairy products or eggs. A vegetarian does not eat meat, including game, poultry, fish, crustacea and shellfish, and may also abstain from by-products of animal slaughter such as animal-derived rennet and gelatin.
Hahaha, that's very true. I agree and live by that, and i TOTALLY understand how it feels when people act like they know what they're talking about.
Being a vegetarian can also mean supporting the ethical treatment of "anything with a brain." Like, buying non-leather product, being kind towards animals, and refusal to dissect animals for a project.
PeTA is a good website and has a lot of good information about this type of thing.
I hope I helped.
:D
Well, Starfish don't strictly have brains, and I wouldn't eat them either. I don't eat anything that had to be killed, that's bigger than say a live culture. So, I drink milk and eat cheese, mostly extracts from goats. (I don't like Cow milk as much) I also eat eggs, which are unfertilized chicken expulsion, and those are free range. I used to be a Pescaterian, but then I had a nightmare about having to kill a giant shrimp, and it's eyes looked so sad. (weird dream, I know)
simple definition is a vegetarian does not eat animals.
You will hear many people say that it has something to do with eating meat, this only fuels the confusion as there are many parts of animals that are edible aside from muscle, none of which vegetarians eat.
Vegetarianism is when you do not eat meat at all..fish included.. there is a word for people who do not eat meat other than fish and it is called Pescetarianism.

Vegetarians do not eat meat (including fish meat), no beef stock or chicken broth either as it comes from meat.
Ititarians (or pescatarians) do not eat meat but DO eat seafood.
Same as yours. Someone who doesn't eat any type of meat whatsoever. My ex girlfriend is a vegetarian supposedly and eats chicken. I'm not a vegetarian, but it pisses me off she thinks she knows everything.
A vegetarian is someone who eats nothing that requires the death of anything that has a brain..
Someone who eats no meat but eats seafood is called a Pescatarian. You are both right.
I am a vegetarian
I agree with you. I don't understand why they don't consider seafood...
depends on the vegetarian
there are types that dont eat fish.
i don't eat any meats at all.
Yes I agree. Not to sound elitist, but a lot of people use the word incorrectly.
someone that doesn't eat animals.
I totally agree. That is the exact right answer.
I agree with you.
Remarkable. YOU have made up a new definition and are "pi$$ed" off because other people don't agree with YOUR definition? Only a veg*n would be so arrogant.
