Is paraffin wax Vegetarian?!

Question: Is paraffin wax Vegetarian?
Specifically, Gulf Wax.

I've heard it's a petroleum by product, But do they add anything else to it or do anything during the process that wouldn't be Vegetarian?.

Thanks

Answers:

It's vegan. It's an edible petroleum product.

Daisy- Is this the angry omnivore section or the vegetarian/vegan section? Sometimes I can't tell the difference.

No they don't contain any animal products

It depends on if it came out of your ear or not. So, toxic petroleum products are better for you than bees wax?

i had mine on a rare ribeye so the answere is no

I don't think so

It depends on whether a veg*n needs to use paraffin wax or not. If they need it, they will claim it's ok because they're "doing the best they can." Now if another vegan or vegetarian wants to use the paraffin, the veg*n police will scream "it's not vegan." So, you see, it depends on the mood and the needs of the specific veg*n on the day of the paraffin discussion.
