Is it okay if I eat sugar for now, as a vegan?!
Is it okay if I still eat this for now? I really don't want to nag my parents and ask for more/different foods.

There is sugar it nearly anything, there is tons of it in fruits and vegetables.
I have been vegan for some time now and I eat sugar. Most deem it okay, most sugars are actually considered to be kosher even when bone char is indeed used in the process. No animal ingredients are in the sugar, it's just the process. If you're that concerned, use agave nectar instead. But like I said, you're fine eating sugar. No one will look down upon you for eating sugar.
Sugar really is necessary for human survival, in adequate quantities. It would be nearly impossible to cut out of anyones diet. Charts bones isn't really meat, and it's only a tiny part of it.
Besides, think of all the other animals lives you are saving by not eating meat, I would not put this on your concious.
Don't worry about it. It's one of those things that you can't prove if a place does it or not and it's not that big of a deal. If it bothers you, then don't do it, but it's not something you're going to be thrown out of the vegan club over. 2 of the best known vegan chefs use sugar.
I've been vegan 4 along time an eat sugar, Don't stress on it eat what you feel is right:)
Don't worry, before I went raw vegan my favorite snack was oreos.
Talk about LOADED in sugar!
And vegan ice creams have sugar, too (I'm sure they use just beat sugar, though)...
I would suggest trying not to eat as much of it, and try get fill more up with fruits/veggies and sugar free, yummy, products, or little vegan brands.
Don't stress over it, you're still saving animals, you are cutting the consumption of their flesh either you eat the sugar or not. You still eat less of them with this life style.
And people who are saying "sugar is needed" and "fruits are loaded with sugar"..
That all describes natural sugar. The sugar in the question is about unnatural, processed sugar...
Don't worry, you're still cutting down animal-consumptions. :)
