Question: A cookie recipe calls for 1tbsp. ground flax seed in 2 1/2tbsp. water can I just use 2 1/2tbsp flax seed oil?

no you can't. Flax seed and water is used to replace eggs, not oil..



No. The point of the flax in the recipe is for use as a binder. When you mix ground flax with water and let it sit for a few minutes, it kind of gels up and gets a texture similar to an egg.



No you could substitute an egg.
