What about a potato salad? Or a pasta salad? Just make sure you keep the meat seperate and you should be good.

Vegan

* Stuffed Portabello Mushrooms - they are meaty and filling and go well with the crab legs
* Clam Chowder soup with Sourdough Bread - perfectly compliments the crab legs as well as it fits most vegetarians diets (unless they don't eat any fish products)
* Layer zucchini and yellow squash with spaghetti sauce and cheese, bake for about 30 minutes (kind of like a lasagna but a lot easier and quicker to make)
* Rice pilaf - make some rice and add mushrooms, peas, carrots and some baby onions

Ingredients; 1 small chopped onion, thin slices of pumpkin,sweet potato,zuchinni, mushrooms...... (In fact any vegetable),4 eggs, 3/4 cup pastry mix, 3/4 cup grated cheese, 1 cup milk, chives or parsley, salt and pepper.

Method: Layer slices of vegetable in a deep pie dish / quiche that has been greased. Mix other ingredients together and pour over the vegetables. Cook in oven 180'Cfor 40 - 50 mins. Shorter if a small plate.

Cauliflower cheese, stuffed tomatoes or peppers, baked potatoes cut in half,scooped out and stuffed with filling of your choice,topped with cheese and put under the grill. Or, macaroni cheese?
What about cooked mixed vegetables,mashed very lightly and made into patties and fried? Cook a little bit of flour and vegetable margarine,add a bit of water to make a thickish paste and let it cool before using to bind the patties. , instead of beaten eggs.

vegetable lasagna? Veggie pizza? I don't know, vegetarians only don't eat meat, so cheese eggs butter... are okay. So just find something at your store that doesn't have meat in it and you should be fine.

Just tell them the crab was killed humanely. Ex: the crab was fed nice whole food and massaged daily.

I prefer a nice steak with my crab legs. Medium rare is best.
