Why do some Vegetarians eat fish?!

Question: Why do some Vegetarians eat fish?
Are Fish not animals?

Answers:

Well obviously if someone eats fish then they are not vegetarian, simple as that.

A Vegetarian does not eat fish. People who call themselves Vegetarians may eat fish but that doesn't make them Vegetarian. It makes them Pescatarians who think they are Vegetarian. By definition, a Vegetarian cannot eat fish/seafood/meat/fish/poultry or other creature that had a face.

People may label or believe themselves anything they like but it doesn't mean they are what they label themselves to be. Hitler would have labeled himself a savior. Just because you [the person claiming the label] believe it doesn't mean its true.

There are no vegetarians who eat fish.
There are many people who eat fish and CLAIM to be vegetarian, but they are not, because, as you suspect, fish are indeed animals.
It leads to people thinking that vegetarians eat fish, it leads to questions like ''don't you even eat fish?'' and even leads to some restaurants and cafes labelling meals with fish in on their menu as ''vegetarian'' - I have seen this a couple of times myself.
I used to be vegetarian, I am now vegan.

Certainly, people who eat any animal flesh are not true vegetarians, but in today's loose vernacular, people who don't eat mammals (red meat) tend to think of themselves as vegetarians. Some "vegetarians" eat eggs - also animal, if you think about it.
You are right, fish are animals.

Because Kurt Cobain once said
"Its ok to eat fish, because they don't have any feelings"

and NOFX once said
"No chowder for you, clams have feelings too. Actually, they don't have central nervousness. No Manhattan style, clams have the right to smile. Come to think about it, they don't have a face"

Vegetarians dont eat fish.

People that eat fish and claim to be a vegetarian are liars.

Vegetarians don't eat animal flesh.
Fish are animals.
Therefore,
one who eats fish
is not a vegetarian.

They like to associate themselves with vegetarians but they also like the taste of flesh.

Because they are fake vegetarians! I know some people who call themselves vegetarian and yet eat chicken!

Real vegetarians don't eat fish or seafood of any kind.

Because they are not vegetarian and want a label without actually having to give up meat.

Vegetarians don't eat fish.

They don't.

Anyone who eats fish is not a vegetarian.

Because they don't have any feelings.

Kurt

because they are a great source of protein and iron and oil. also if you live in a place where your options are limited, fish is a option. also what you are talking about is called Pescetarian.
it also might depend on who you are talking to.
also vegetarian is a broad term, its easier to say that than explain what pescetarian means. i was a pescetarian, but only because it was the agreement i had with my mother when i became a vegetarian. i avoided it as much as i could though.

I dont know but vegetarians are weird. GOD Put these animals on our earth for FOOD any animal with the split hoof are alright to eat and most any swimming animal is ok to eat. GOD made these animalsfor this rason. So the idiots who think there saving animals are actually killing them. If we didnt eat some animals, they would keep multiplying and then eventually one would get sick and it would spread and they would all DIE.

MY KNOWLEDGE

Some vegetarians do eat fish. Their version is - if we cut the fish blood dont come, so it is not flesh, vegetarians can have it too.
But I feel vegetarians means they should have only vegetables and products come from trees.

It's called pescetarian. (: It's when you don't like/don't approve of land meat, but you still need the nutrients that meat gives you, so you eat seafood.

I'm pescetarian(:

There are several levels of being a vegetarian and it goes from the fish/poultry eaters all the way to the extremes of vegans (no animal products)

some people just love steamed manila clams 2 much haha
