Question: I was thinking about going vegetrian...?
but im allergic to all nuts and fish that means omega 3 and nut oils too but i dont know how ill get enough protine last time i tried going vegetrain i was going to eat this vegie burger and it had waulnuts in it . i didnt have enough protine in my diet and it made me very sick . tofu (can u tell me what its made out of?) i dont really like because i had tofu desserts and they were greasy and kinds gross ... idk what ima do i really dont like meat and dont wanna kill anymore animals..

For one thing, vegetarians don't eat fish. If you know someone who eats fish and calls themself vegetarian, they are either lying or uneducated.

There are plenty of vegetarian protien sources besides nuts.

Eggs and dairy have lots of protein.

Tofu does too, but it's hard to cook and make it taste good, unless you already have it as an acquired taste, which it sounds like you don't.

Another complete protien source is Quinoa. It's a grain you cook sort of like rice.

If need be, you can also take protein supplements.



First off, vegetarians don't eat fish. So that means you cannot get your omega fatty acids from fish, in which there's another way...flax-seed whether it's oil, grounded, or supplement.

Next, there's many other ways of getting protein besides nuts.
- milk/yogurt/cheese: Greek brand of yogurt is AMAZING on protein.
- edamames (a type of soybean)
- some breakfast cereals, like Kashi Go Lean Original, especially.
- fortified whole grains
- Tofu
- Legumes
- Eggs
- TVP (textured vegetable protein): good to add to oatmeal and such.

As for the tofu, you have to know how to cook it right. Add lots of spices so that it can absorb them, I like to add tofu to vegetable soups and stir frys.

raw leafy greens are incredibly high in protien and just about any other nutrients. wheatgrass absorbs 98% of the minerals in the soil. your body can synthesise b12 out of greens because they are high in cobalt. Animals such as cows eat nothing but greens by nature, and their meat is high in protien... they have to get it from somewhere.

Since you are allergic to nuts you'll have to be extra vigilant in reading labels. You can easily get your protein from other foods....cheese, eggs, beans. Tofu is made from soy beans.



You dont have to worry about protein, its found in all vegetarian foods.
