Can you wash soy nuts and then dry them out to desalt them?!

Question: Can you wash soy nuts and then dry them out to desalt them?
I'm making recipe jars and the recipe calls for unsalted roasted soy nuts.
...All I could find were honey roasted and roasted salted. >.<
I read somewhere where someone said to wash peanuts to desalt them, but I dunno if that was even a good answer or if it was different for soy nuts for some reason.

Answers:

Yes you can rinse off nuts to remove additives, however they usually are kind of chewey afterwards unless given ample drying, or popping in the oven on a tray at low temperature setting to dry out. Also, residual flavor from the additive may remain on the nuts
