Do vegetarians hate the show MAN vs. FOOD? and have groups?!

Question: Do vegetarians hate the show MAN vs. FOOD? and have groups?
that try to get the show banned

i love the show and i wish i had his job and it always makes me so hungry but i always wonder how vegetarians feel about the show. Because its basically like food porn lol and he always eats so much meat! there wasn't a meal yet i dont think that didn't have meat in it. Like not jjust some meat but pounds of it! From 2pounds to as much as 8POUNDS of meat and food on that show! Then with those challenges that show pure gluttony.

vegetarians i'd like your opinions.

Thanks

Answers:

I find the show disgusting not for its meat content, but for the absolute glorification of unhealthy foods and complete gluttony. Sorry, watching a fat guy stuff his face doesn't appeal to me. One of these days, I'm sure there will be a press release saying the man fell out during one of his "challenges"... ick.

I'd still find it just as disgusting if the premise was "eat 20 veggie burgers". It's just plain gross.

I'm not going to waste time creating "groups" vying for its cancellation though. If people want to watch that kind of crap on TV, who am I to stop them?

Here's the thing. I love watching shows about food, I love food, and I'm considering becoming a chef. I'm also a vegan. I guess I kind of like that show, or the idea of it, anyway. HOWEVER, it disappoints me, because he basically ONLY eats meat. I still watch shows that involve meat, no big deal, it just doesn't make me salivate. But he doesn't really eat anything but. That's why I don't like it. But I'd never try to get it banned. That would be stupid. A lot of people like that show, and it's totally never gonna be banned.

Um, no it doesn't bother me a bit, course neither do any of the other shows i like to watch like iron chef, throw down, chopped, hot dog eating competitions, along with many others. I am not a vegetarian because of anything except i feel it is a more healthy way to eat than a meat eating diet. he can shove five pounds of bacon down his throat everyday and it wouldn't be bothering me. he is just killing himself. something i choose not to do

Not a fan of the show, it just seems gross to see him stuff his face with all the grease. He's just increasing his risks of heart disease, diabetes etc. and I don't think that's very funny. I just wonder how long the poor man will last doing that to himself? Its not appealing but I don't care for the show anyway. Why would anyone waste their time trying to get that show banned when there are better things to be doing...even if one is a vegetarian advocate.

I don't watch it. My brother happens to love that show, so sometimes I'm stuck watching it. It doesn't bother me too much since I'm used to people around me eating meat all the time. I've never seen a group that has tried to get that show banned. I think that's just going over the top though. I feel a little bad for the man that eats all that food because he's more likely to get heart disease than everyone else.

I saw the show once, and while I found it absolutely disgusting, and think that guy is doing absolute sh*t to his health, I'm not going to try to get the show banned any more than I would another show in which somebody ate a hamburger. Being obnoxious and elitist never helps anything.

On the related videos, there's a pancake one.

The guy who hosts it is apparently smart. He went to Emory and Yale. I know unrelated, but you might not expect it.

Ha, I love that show. I'd be really upset if someone tried to get it banned. Just because I don't eat meat doesn't mean I'm not okay with others eating it.

I've never watched the show..

nope i have never seen that show

The vast majority of mankind eats meat.

It's no surprisse to us.

I don't like that show and I'm not even vegetarian.

vegetarians shouldn't say a thing, its not like all the omnivores try to get the vegetarian shows banned

Yes because we are watching a cow slowly kill himself on t.v. And yes we do have a group. We are called trolls :)
