It is animal free but for sure not vegan. All the garbage in it that shouldn't be in it likely doesn't contain animals or animal products of any sort but it does take a greater toll on the planet which harms animals. Most of that stuff is bad for your health (not just bad for you like a homemade brownie) but again doesn't look like it contains animal ingredients.
This is why I don't consider products like that vegan:
"The word 'veganism' denotes a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude — as far as is possible and practical — all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, including humans and the environment.
That whole last line about development and use of animal free alternatives is the whole reason. None of that stuff benefits animals, the environment or humyns.
My guess is it is Mothers brand or other kosher/Jewish type brand as most of that stuff is full of garbage because for whatever reason a lot of Jews just don't care about health (my family included) It is just made sense for them to make it free of milk and by extension other animal ingredients because it needed to be kosher and it was cheaper to make it from crap.
vegan because animals are not property
If there is a phone number or website on the package, contact the manufacturer and ask them. That's the only way to know for sure.
The "artificial flavor" could possibly be derived from an animal source.
YES. it is Vegan.
healthier options: Nutelex, Soy Marg and MeadowLea
vegetarian 2 years, fruitarian 6 months, level 6 vegan, 2 years,
The mono and diglycerides are iffy--I have heard they can be from animal sources. Best to contact the company just to be sure.
But if you've already bought it, use it; don't waste it.
unless stated on the package the artificial flavor could come from any source so as suggest contact the maker if it is an unknown brand.
It's vegan. Non-vegan margarines usually list whey or milk as ingredients.
Vegetarian
hydrogenated fats are really bad for you i wouldn't eat it
Sounds vegan to me.
yes
I don't see any animal products so it's probably vegan. Is it healthy? I doubt it.
