Substituting agave nectar for honey in a bread recipe?!

Boy, that's a lot of honey! Honey serves as a sweetener of course, but it also has the property of being 'hygroscopic', meaning it pulls moisture from the air. So bread made with honey (a tablespoon or two) stays moist longer, it resists drying out and going stale.
Agave nectar or even sugar would work the same as a sweetener, there might be a slight difference in flavor. If you were using sugar, you'd want to adjust the liquid accordingly.
Also, agave nectar, I think it's a lot sweeter than honey per given measurement, so you might want to cut down on it.
Normally honey doesnot harm our health. Only negative effect it gives is, when consumed in higher quantity (as indicated, esp. with bread) will lead to constipation. Try to consume a good quantum of fruit and vegetable slices as sandwitches. this combination will compensate the ealier said deficiency.
It is a 1:1 replacement. Simply use a 1/2 cup of agave nectar.
About the only thing you can not use it as a direct replacement is for candies. And then you simply add more sugar (whatever kind) and cook it somewhat slower. Well that and making mead of course.
