Sorry, I don't know too much about going vegan, but I do know that it is a very healthy lifestyle choice and diet if you follow it correctly. Eat plenty of protein such as beans and tofu, and don't eat less just because there isn't anything you can eat. I suggest going to a vegan grocery store near you, and purchasing some vegan ingredients as well as vegan cookbooks. If you are worried about going out to eat, try bringing something you have cooked yourself in a take- out container.
