Question: We tried a persimmon and it felt like my tongue was sandpaper- why?
the flavor was irrelevant- what it did to my tongue was so disturbing? Was it the wrong kind? Was it bad?

It was not ripe. An unripe persimmon will make your mouth very dry.



I think that's just how they are. I've tried a few different kinds, and they all tasted like socks and made my tongue feel fuzzy.



Maybe you're allergic to it.
