Grapes: Vegan or not? Where do you stand on this controversy?!

Question: Grapes: Vegan or not? Where do you stand on this controversy?
What proof exists that they are vegan and what proof exists that they are not? What is your opinion on this debate?

Answers:

The proof:

*Grapes are grown on a vine. Animals develop in eggs, internally in the female parent or by asexual budding.
*each cell is are surrounded by a cell wall, which never occurs in animal cells
*they usually contain woody seeds (depending on which generation the parent plant was), animals do not produce woody seeds
*they contain carbohydrates, which are not found in animal foods

My opinion is that there is no debate.

trololol

as i understand it, vegan means containing no animal product or by-product. since it is a plant, what is the issue?

Umm grapes dont have to be killed to be eaten? Grapes dont have protein? Grapes are not meat? wtf is this a real controversy? lol

Grapes are definitely vegan 100%, you must have your sources wrong.

Vegan.

They aren't genetically modifying them yet are they? Then Vegan. If they are... oh well. I'm still trying to handle Grapples [grape tasting and smelling apples].

i think u mean wine: how to know for sure its vegan....

since the grapes themselves are obviously vegan duh
