Vegetarian? But I love chicken(especially spicy chicken)?!

Question: Vegetarian? But I love chicken(especially spicy chicken)?
But other that that I don't know what to do. And I like eggs so vegan is out of the question.? And Turkey is good but only eat it once a year right..? But I never really eat meat, I love animals so much. So would being a vegetarian be a bad idea for me??

I used to love eating meat, dairy and eggs every single day and I went vegetarian. Still trying to go vegan. :p

Well, if you want to be a vegetarian, give it up. If you don't want to, don't. There is no law that says you aren't allowed to give up only some kinds of meats. You don't have to stop eating all meat if you don't want to. You won't be a vegetarian if you are eating birds, but you can give up mammals if you want to. Maybe for you, vegetarianism is a long-term goal. Give up red meat now. Once you are comfortable with that, give up fish. Once you are used to that, give up poultry. You can take as long as you want.

That being said, if you are worried about animals, the pleasure you get from eating them and their products might not really outweigh the disadvantages of supporting the industry. A good first step for you might be buying only certified humane meat, eggs (at the very least get cruelty-fee eggs), and dairy. Because they cost more, you will probably automatically cut back.

You can go pescitarian and only eat chicken.
Watch food.Inc,earthlings and meet your meat and watch mercy for animals and PETA under investigated clips of factory farms. Watch the poultry part and I garentee you if you think of that every time you look at meat you'll never eat it again.

OMG! It's Christmas eve!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

If you are committed it's possible. I didn't quit eating meat because I don't like it.
When you get a craving for chicken or for holidays, Quorn makes very good chicken and turkey substitutes. I don't recommend fake meats as a way of life but for the occasional change or to satisfy a craving they can be very handy. Boca and Morningstar Farms also have some good products but Quorn is the best poultry sub in my opinion.
Give it a try-what do you have to lose?

So try the Vegetarian Subs they sell. I am going thru a stage where I don't like them but I love the Tofurkey lunch meats. To my taste buds it tastes like Turkey. Lightlife makes a fake Chicken wing that I'm addicted to when I can find it. Our stores have such a lousy selection. Go to a store that has a large number of subs and buy and try.

And if this one can fool our cats, it might fool you too. They were sure it was real chicken from the smell. Cat's Delight Seitan see link.

i make chicken, like KFC popcorn, from quorn chicken pieces
i make southern fried chicken from their breast pieces

there is always a way around not eating meat
i dont, just because i dont like it,

i do eat eggs, and cheese though, a couldnt be vegan,
i am not controlled enough

You dont have to put a label on it, you can just cut down on the amount of meat you eat. just make sure your eating good food,

like make sure your eggs are free range and the chicken you eat is free range, it may be more expensive but i rather feel good about the meat i do eat

I call myself vegetarian, and I do have chicken and fish sometimes, and egg and cheese sometimes, rarely, not strickenough to be a vegan

Try being vegetarian for a week/month and if you have a craving for chicken or whatever meat then you cant be vegetarian unless you ignore any cravings and stay away from meat to resist temptation

How about just eat it for exceptions.
