Non veggies against horse slaughter?!

I agree with No Chance.
I personally find it hypocritical to treasure and coddle some animals, while abusing and exploiting other animals. People say "But dogs are smart!!" to justify this favoritism, however, studies have shown that pigs are much smarter than dogs and cats, and my aunt's pet pig knows many more "tricks" and command words than her dogs.

I'm not the kind of person so "shove my beliefs down someone's throat"--I'm not one to say any of this to a meat eater face to face, because usually they get upset. But I still believe it.

I find no reason to treat any animal better because of it's "cuteness"--just like I do not think it's right to treat people better based on their appearance or the color of their skin.

I think not. Either animals are for eating or they're not. I say they're not, but I'm tired of people who will happily eat a pig but then are shocked to learn that in some Asian countries people eat dogs. We just happened to be raised to think it's wrong to eat particular animals such as cats, dogs, horses, dolphins and whales, et cetera. I don't want to say it's "wrong" to eat meat and be against eating horse meat, but I personally see that as hypocritical.

Certainly. After all, many non-vegetarians don't want people eating cats or dogs either. A lot depends on whether one considers eating a legitimate use for horses. Others may not object to eating them per se, but object to how the slaughter is conducted.

Don't listen to people calling you hypocritical! These are probably people who think vegans and vegetarians have the monopoly on being animal lovers, not true! Non-vegetarians do not have to ask vegetarians and vegans what they can and cannot be against!

no it's not right, there is no right or wrong. It's an opinion! i don't want people to eat my grandma but i eat other animals all the time, you gonna say that's wrong!?

It isn't as good for you. And people like horses!
