A question for gluten free people!?!

Question: A question for gluten free people!?
My mum and I can't eat gluten. But my grandmother has made a stuffing with flour and bread crumbs in the turkey. It's the only meat we will have. I think the bread crumbs and flour will taint the turkey and to me it's not worth feeling sick over.
Would you risk it?

Relatives can be a tricky thing....but so can being physically sick.

Just get meat on top of the bird....stay away from the pieces that are touching or underneath the stuffing.
I woudln't worry too much about it.....
put some on your plate....and if it looks like it has been tainted...don't eat it.

I'm not sure gluten from the stuffing can seep into the meat in any significant quantity. However, if the concern over gluten will hinder your enjoyment, then skip it.

If you can tolerate a little gluten (like me) then enjoy a little leg or breast meat (those have the least contact with the stuffing) and be careful not to eat any gluten for two to three weeks to let your stomach lining heal. If a little gluten makes you feel bad, then skip it if it's not worth feeling bad.

No, the gluten in the flour will not change the protein structures of the meat at all.
Chemically this is NOT POSSIBLE.
You might want to avoid the meat nearest the bones just for antigenic avoidance, but the rest of the bird is completely edible, celiac disease or not.

Have a happy holiday.

Well i"m not gluten free but my aunt and one of my best friends are so I know lost about it and stuff. It might but since you aren't like deathly allergic, I think it would be okay to eat the parts of the turkey that are closer to the outside. They will probably contain trace amounts of gluten but not enough to hurt you at all.

help me out?
