Vegetarian christmas dinner?!

Question: Vegetarian christmas dinner?

Answers:

check out vegweb.com. They have lots of holiday recipes. Go find a nice holiday roast. The Gardein roast is the best option out there. You can find it in the cooked foods section at wholefoods. Although someone said they saw a new frozen one. If not, you can get a tofurkey. As sides you can have yams, roasted brussel sprouts (which are actually delicous if cooked properly) stuffed mushrooms or stuffed peppers,

You can make a pumpkin or sweet potato pie for dessert. Or cupcakes and decorate them for x-mas.

Just do a Google search for vegetarian holiday meals and you'll get tons of suggestions. Or even type in vegetarian thanksgiving. That will probably give you better options.

Do you live near a whole food store or health food store?

Worthington is a company that makes a vegetarian dinner roast. The roast is delicious; it tastes just like turkey and is 100% vegetarian. It's my favorite vegetarian roast, and it is high in protein, iron, and vitamin B12.

Quorn is a company that makes vegetarian imitation turk'y roasts. It's good, but it's smaller than the worthington roast.

Tofurky is a company that makes a vegan roast. It has a lot of good reviews.

Morningstar Farms vegan riblets are also good for holidays. They taste great when made in the oven.

Campbell's mushroom gravy is vegan. Be careful not to confuse this gravy with the Heinz non-vegetarian gravy.

Vegan Cake: Buy a box of chocolate, lemon, orange, or strawberry DUNCAN HINE'S cake mix.
If you get chocolate, add a can of diet coke.
If you get the lemon cake, add a can of diet 7 up.
If you get orange, add a can of diet sunkist.
If you get strawberry, add a can of diet cherry coke or diet cherry pepsi.

Stir these ingredients(DO NOT ADD WATER, OIL, OR EGG WHITES).

Bake the cake in the oven. It will be moist and taste just like real cake. Google it, if you don't believe me. I didn't believe it either when I first heard it, but it does work.

Frosting: Mix powdered sugar, lemon or almond extract, and some vegan margarine or earth balance butter.

Vegetarian

I find Chinese and Indian cuisine are safe bets for vegetarian? You can look mat something like a vegetable biryani which is Indian or a Chinese vegetable stir fry. You did not mention if you were cooking for vegetarians and what kind of vegetarians eg do they eat cheese or eggs? If they do, you could do a nice pats a with a cheese sauce with veggies in it like mushrooms and tomatoes.
I would say try www.epicurious.com. They always help me out. Tones of great recipes with reviews.

I do not know,I am a carnivore,I like meat but Merry Christmas to you and yours
