Side effects of vegetarianism?!

Question: Side effects of vegetarianism?
I became a vegetarian about 4 months ago (i eat dairy and fish though) and ever since i became one, i get full a lot easier and when i do get full, i feel really sick to my stomach. This is the only difference i've noticed in my body/health. I was wondering if anyone had heard of this, and if so, why is this and how can i stop it?

You're not a vegetarian, you're a meateater (the fish), but to answer your question... the reason you get full a lot easier is due to replacing the other meat products (chicken, pork, and beef) with vegetables, grains, and fruits which can cause bloat in someone who is new to this diet. Fullness or bloat even happens to vegetarians and vegans who have been on the diet for years, although a bit less as time goes by.
Any meat product (even fish) has hormones that can effect the consumer in strange ways. Dairy also has hormones in it from the animal...

Vegan for compassion

How did you become vegetarian? Fish has never ever even been remotely vegetarian, not even in the same ball park. Fish are living beings who feel pain, have families and such they are not magical fruits from the fish tree.

I think your problem might stem from eating all the toxins that you are getting from the fish that live in polluted waters that we are responsible for polluting. I would drop the fish out of your diet and go vegetarian. I would also recommend dropping milk out of your diet because that is unhealthy for you and can cause stomach problems. Try drinking almond or soy or rice milk instead. You can get plenty of protein from nuts, grains, tofu, legumes and beans and Omega 3s from flax seeds/oil and hemp as well as DHA from spirulina (which is a complete protein and basically the same as what you get from fish except without the cruelty and murder because fish eat microalgae)

If you still have problems after all of this you should go too a doctor who is not going to B.S. you into eating any animals or animal products.

vegan because animals are not property

You're a pescetarian. Fish is meat. It's only classifed as seafood, because it comes from the sea.

It's the same as chicken. It's called poultry, because it doesn't look red like beef or pork, but people still refer to chicken as "white meat" and "dark meat."

You might be getting sick, because of an allergic reaction.

Maybe you're lactose intolerant? Or maybe the chemicals in the fish is making you sick?

There are no side effects to being a vegetarian, as long as you are consuming fruits, vegetables, legumes, pasta, cereal, soy or rice milk, and imitation meat(optional, but good for protein and iron) on a dialy basis.

Well meats and eggs milk and all that stuff that you all are turning your noses up too just so happens is good for your body. Red meats help give you mussel and protien, helps fight off bugs and keeps your body healthy. You will have cravings, if you don't watch it you can cause "free bleeding" with out your meats in your diet. Some kind of meats 3 days a week. Fish is great, but red meats fight off bactieria help your blood cells. It's your body do as you like with it. You can't live on salads and breads and cheese alone. Oh and don't leave out your fruits too. Grains in there?

no meats can cause all kinds of mussels breck downs and red blood cells and free bleeding from nose and your body can't fight off viruses.

:'( me too i have been for about a year now... I might have to start eating fish (i don't) i do eat dairy and eggs though. I suggest seeing a nutritionest and tring to get IRON because that is very important even more important then protein so focus on iron...

im sorry im not that such help.... i'v been getting really sick lately and the other day i almost craved a hamburger EWWWWWEW

My main meal of the day is lunch, usually a large salad, I feel like I'm busting at the end of it, that's if I get through it. Think it's probably the water content of the vegetables your using

Assuming your diet is balanced your issue may be more fiber or water than you're use to. Try eating less or slower. Normally, you don't feel full until a few minutes after you're actually full; there's some delay.

Sorry, but you're not a vegetarian if you eat fish. Fish are animals and vegetarians don't eat fish.

A vegetarian is one who does not buy or consume animal flesh.

Fish are animals.
