Which is healthier smoked or unsmoked bacon?!

Bacon is a very unhealthy product...and I'm not saying this because I'm veggie, I'm saying it because its highly processed and full of salt. But unsmoked is healthier.
Bacon smoked over a specific type of wood to give it a distinct flavor is equally dangerous to the unsmoked bacon which is cooked to a specification the chef would like, with no flavor initiated into the meat before it is sold commercially. Both types of bacon are harmful as it could get high cholesterol and raise heart problems.
When eating bacon, health is not one of the considerations.
I prefer smoked though non smoked bacon like pancetta is good too.
