Why do I feel so emotional and angry in my first week of going towards veganism?!
anyway, today i flew off the handle at my partner and just cried sooooo much! throughout the week i have been abit more teary too.
now before anyone goes into me not getting adequate nutrients etc, u should know that i take 20mg of iron plus the vitamin c for absorption and vb12, 5000 fish oil, my tofus n vegies and organics n stuff and i eat prawns and tuna for this week.
for the first 3 days i farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrted like crazy! lol it was just crazy i couldnt get out of the house! and then in the last couple of days i felt abit more energetic. today i did the best poopsie since like i can't remember when! and it made my day!! lol i dont how to explain it its like u hav a permenantly partially blocked drain that's been cleared... and this evening i was overly emotional.... my partner copped it but he was pretty understanding...
my question is, why am i so emotional at the moment? is it possible to cleanse and detox psychologically as week as physically? what's happening to me? will changes be permanent and if not how long will they last?

I actually started going Vegan about a week or so. Before that I was a vegetarian for 11 years. But the first couple days of being vegan were tough. I was dizzy and lightheaded, and I was depressed. I think it is common. I asked some other people and they told me the same thing happened to them.

No idea. But it must psychological. I guess it won't be permanent, if it was and that suposes a problem for you contact a profesional.

That's not normal. Are you sure you're eating enough? Not just enough nutrients but also enough calories for your age, height, and gender.

One assumes that you are eating more seafood than you did previously- perhaps it's too much mercury. Since it's a neurotoxin, it can cause a vast array of emotional symptoms.
Your hormones are trying to go back to normal after all the added hormones in the meat you were eating wonked them out. You'll be fine.
I read somewhere that when u detox, u will get moody.:)))
like there is a show where they take a couple of ppl for a detox, on a relaxed area..they usually suffer from moodiness
You do not seem to be able to handle the vege life.
From what I have read and learned from responsible practitioners, it takes time to change diets smoothly. One writer wrote in a book I read that it takes years to swop over. You are probably detoxing. And you could already be releasing toxic build-up from meat-eating.
I don't need to tell you that you are getting enough protein.
No, it's NOT possible to "detox psychologically" in 7 days.
And if you're having a kidney/protein problem -- it's NOT from all the meat you eat -- it's a genetic problem, and what you ate in the past (or present) won't affect it in the least.
The kidneys filter wastes -- all of them -- and if the tubules are damaged, causing larger molecules like protein to build up, it's not because you ate too much meat. It's because you have a kidney problem that you've ALWAYS had, but just picked now to show up.
