Are french fries healthy?!

Question: Are french fries healthy?
Answers:

Not if they're deep fried, but potatoes actually contain a lot of vitamins! (and they're delicious!)

Healthy for the soul, yes. Healthy for the body, nope. But they sure are good!

I guess you can help make them NOT-SO-UNHEALTHY by frying them in a healthy oil like canola. Then of course you can leave the skins on and get some nutrients that way. And then there's always sweet potato fries that have some vitamins. But no matter what you do, you will never make them HEALTHY. BAKED french fries are another story.

Gonna go get me some fries... all this talk has me hungry!

No, but there are healthier ways to prepare them. Mostly just baking rather than deep frying them, but baking them IS much healthier than deep frying.

Yes, its the oil they are fried in that is unhealthy!

I wish. If french fries were healthy, we would all go for "super sizing."

Not at all.
