do you eat fast food if so , Why?!

Question: Do you eat fast food if so , Why?
should we all slow down and eat better, I realize it's difficult for many but the long term benefits are worth it surely

Answers:

Yes, I'm lazy

Not that often, maybe a few times a month.

Pretty much only when I really have no other options (on the road, don't have the time or money for a sit-down meal at a restaurant). I'm not thrilled about the way most fast food tastes but it's fast, cheap, and stops me from being hungry for a few hours. In those situations, it's not worth it to spend more at a better restaurant or wait longer to eat at home.

The whole "I don't eat fast food because I don't know what goes into it or how it's made" is pretty silly when you realize that this applies to just about EVERY restaurant that doesn't include a walk-up counter where your order is prepared right in front of you step by step. EVERY time you sit at a table and order from a server and have your food brought out, you don't know what goes into it or how it's made.

I only eat from fast food places that I don't morally object to - I never eat McDonalds or KFC mainly for animal cruelty and environmental issues.

If you are vegetarian and careful about your diet you can actually eat take away slightly more often because you likely to not be a candidate for heart disease. (I know that there are some unhealthy, overweight vegetarians, I am generalising here). So I don't have an issue with eating out slightly more than I used to before I was veggo.

I live in Melbourne, Australia and we have a wide range of vegetarian take away options that are quick and easy. I like felafel as it is healthy and delicious. I also live near a Tofu Shop take out place that does a zillion different fast vegetarian take out meals and also sells vegan icecream (this week's flavour is Pandan and Coconut Soy).

What I am trying to say is, if you eat good fast food then that's okay.

I personally don't think anyone should eat McDonalds, KFC or any other place that condones battery chickens anyway.
:)

I only eat fast food from a vegan/vegetarian place and I only eat there once or twice a month. I do think people need to slow down and think about their food and where it is coming from, especially they can't see how it is made. Personally, I wouldn't trust going to a fast food place and not being able to see my order made.

vegan :D

yes i have fast food, not often though, probably once a month at the most. My local indian take away cater to my vegan requirements and I can actually see them cooking it from scratch. I don't see the problem having fast food as long as people stay away from the big corporate chains such as KFC, McDonald's, burger king etc as they just want peoples money and their food is basically crap and VERY unhealthy, not to mention the cruelty to animals. And obviously people shouldn't eat fast food as a main diet.

Most weeks I only eat out once a week, and it's either at Chipotle, Stirfry 88 or Panera. Most of the time. At the most I will eat out twice a week at similar places but I'm aware of the calories and nutrition in those food. However, most people are not.

I'm a college student and it's hard for me to make things. Often I do buy Smart Ones meals and Lean Cuisines but they're better than fast food.

Yes sometimes. Not all "fast food" restaurants are giant chains joints. My own restaurant has a "fast food" counter for people on the go.

Lol "I eat at subway but that's it. I don't like not being able to see people cooking and handling my food and not knowing what is being put into it..." This is funny coming from someone who says she opposes the "cruelty" of McDonald's to animals for serving meat ... You think those meatballs and cold cuts come from veggies? And by the way, Subway is now the biggest fast food chain which makes it the largest meat serving chain... Where is the protest? Oh yeah they serve vegetarian so they are good.. Hypocrisy at it's most obvious..

I used to eat it a lot. not so much anymore though. Only things with the ingredients in front of you so you can build your own meal (subway, chipotle, etc.) maybe just because i just have no desire to eat mcdonalds or burger king.

When you work 12 hour shifts and drive 1 hour to and from work, that makes for a long day.
I don't always have time to cook.
But I ALWAYS eat McDonalds or Subway -- they are the only fast food I can stomach.

Only if I am traveling(rarely) and only a salad (vegan) and a plain jacket potato ('baked') w. nothing on it. I eat what I cook otherwise.

I eat at subway but that's it. I don't like not being able to see people cooking and handling my food and not knowing what is being put into it.

Because it's got taste and it's addictive

It depends that if you have more physical work in day time then it will digest easily. Those who have mind work should avoid fast food and in place take healthy food

I am vegetarian I don't eat out because I heard that they cook stuff in beef oil and animal fat.

yea i eat fast food, i'm Always on the run, and don't have time to slow down to eat reg. meals

Yes I do. Because I can.

Yes, work very busy don't have time to cook often eat fast food. But I think it's bad for your health
