Food choices............?!
Thanks.
Answers:
Vegan cinnamon banana Pancakes!! I like banana pancakes and put oatmeal (substitute 25-50% of the flour) in a processor for it to be like flour to add a lil protein to the batter. I do use raw honey on top which turns them un-vegan.
Greek Yogurt (add honey, agave or organic sugar to lessen the intensity), bean burritos/tostadas/tacos/nachos, falafels and hummus are my fav for protein. Non American restaurants have lots of vegetarian options.
Pasta, soup (no chicken chicken noodle soup), salads with papaya or mango, sweet potato fries, cashew butter sandwiches are generally my go to in the kitchen. I never had meat alternatives beside tofu in a smoothie, sorry no input there
http://nutritiondata.self.com/ website that gives nutrition data and can look up protien foods.
For protein, vegetarians usually opt for these foods:
Tofu
Nuts
Beans
Peas
Spirulina (a blue green algae aka cyanobacteria which has more protein than meat or beans; you may eat these in tablet form)
Seaweeds
Miso
Biology graduate
Beans, Peanuts, Quinoa (im not a fan though) Lentils, Seitan (LOVE), Veggie Burgers and Meat Substitutes
Milk and yougurt! High in protein!!
