Why do people ridicule me because I'm vegan ?!

Question: Why do people ridicule me because I'm vegan ?
A lot of Kidd's at school (boys and girls) are ridiculing me because I am vegan. I don't want to be preachy and mean, but it's kind of hard when all they do is make fun of me, all I'm ever asked is, "Well if you don't eat meat then where do you get your protein?" Well, I mean seriously these Kidd's have no idea, I kind of just want to know why they do it and what to say to them when they ask me these ridiculous questions.

Answers:

Well obviously, they are extremely ignorant.
Look them straight in the eye and say 'the most ridiculous thing is you don't even realise my mushroom and brown rice burger has more protein in than your mcnuggets'.

Or when they get in your face, sigh dramatically and ask them why they are STILL as stupid as they were yesterday when they had all day to find out that tofu, peanut butter, walnuts and 7 grain bagels have all the protein you or they would need. Ask THEM, why they are still ignorant.

Kids like to tease for any reason whatsoever, but the fact as everybody knows, vegans are more intelligent, compassionate people. We are helping to save animals, and the environment. By not eating meat, we are lessening global warming and world hunger. Many people cannot stand it; they cannot deal with their own inadequacies and guilty conscience, and the only way they can deal with it is by attacking us!
Basically, these kids are jealous of you!
Maybe you should educate them, and help them adapt vegan diets for themselves.

don't tell any one you don't eat meat or animal products...... they don't need to know. also man up they just want to mes with you. or they are ignorant to how you're diet works. I know for me its hard to understand vegans because i love meat and other things .
