Do vegetarians smell better than carnivores?!

Question: Do vegetarians smell better than carnivores?
I'm a proud meat-eater, so I'm not saying this to put down non-vegetarians. BUT, I was wondering if vegetarians smell better than meat-eaters? I saw someone online state that vegetarians smell better. Now, I don't automatically believe everything I read online, but it made me think. My boyfriend doesn't eat meat, and he never smells bad. Even after exercising for hours, he won't smell bad. Even if he doesn't shower for a couple days, he doesn't smell bad. I don't think this is a genetic thing, because I've smelt his parents before after they exercised, and they smelled pretty bad.

So, is there any scientific evidence that vegetarians have a more pleasant odor than non-vegetarians?

Answers:

Your boyfriend likely doesn't smell bad to you because you are attracted to his scent, but dietary modifications can affect the way you smell.

But the fact is there's a lot of vegetarian foods that can make you smell strongly, such as garlic or curry.

On a side note, apparently changing your diet supposedly can dramatically affect the taste and smell of semen.

Nope.
Walk around India where there are more vegetarians and vegans than any other place on the planet and see (or rather smell) for yourself if they have better aromas than omnivores.

Your boyfriend does not smell because he is your boyfriend. You find him good looking and attractive even if some people would not think so. I guarantee you if you ever break up with him, only then would you realize some of his habits that are really off putting.

Nope. Since Sweat tends to smell Worse over time (and doesn't smell at ALL on a Clean Body when it first appears), it's Not Surprising that your Boyfriend still smells Fresh, & his Parents don't after they work out. Since metabolic possesses are the the Same, regardless of WHAT one eats, there should be No Differences between carnivores & vegetarians...

How can you possibly be a proud meat eater? That's like Jeffrey Dahmer saying hes a proud cannibal. Visit a factory farm or a slaughter house and check your pride on the way out.

As for your question, smell doesn't just depend on diet. Biological factors and personal Hygiene come into play as well.

Haha, I think on a very simplistic level it sounds legit. But I think there is more to a persons smell than just what they eat. I've smelled rotting vegetables and it's pretty damn bad.

Do you think cows smell better than human beings? Nope...

maybe do some of your own experiments? eat meat for a week and then smear your **** all over your face and ask your friends what their opinion is. do the same for veggies and you have some solid results and evidence.

personal

usually vegetarians are hippies, and as we all know most hippies smoke and never take showers. so no. they smell horrible. carnivores smell like meat!! mmmmm. also a proud meat-eater. meat forever !!

They might smell a little better for the twenty-odd years they are alive, but their rotting corpses don't exactly smell like roses after they die of nutrient-depletion from lack of eating meat.

I would hope vegetarians smell better than lions, wolves, and tigers. These are all carnivores. I am an omnivore that smells just fine.

I don't know. I try to stay away from wild carnivorous animals and their territory, so I have never had the chance to smell them.

Vegetarians smell like cabbage and lawn clippings. Carnivores smell like victory and WIN!

Vegetarians don't use deodorant!

Yes because meat sometimes make breath smell bad

Nope, I know a Vegetarian who hs the WORSE breath ever!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a battle between Garlic and beans with Beef,

Of course I like alot of garlic on my chicken. ALOT

I don't think it makes a big of a difference..

The human digestive system is very long and sort of ribbed, so that plant food nutrients can be absorbed more readily. Carnivores have very short smooth digestive systems with very strong bile, so that the meat can pass through and the nutrients be digested quickly so the meat does not start to rot. When humans eat meat and it goes through our slow digestive tracts, it starts to putrify, causing a rank fatty meaty smell that sensitive vegans can smell. Cheese and egg eating vegetarians may not be able to notice the smell, as they also have a bit of food rotting in their pipes.

I used to work with a lady who was vegan from birth (and in rude good health incidentally). She used to comment about the smell of meat eaters.

Stephen, have you ever smelt a ferret? Because that puts the kibosh on your whole herbivores smell worse thing! Cows are grass eaters, for starters.

TBH I'm not sure if there's a difference. I know people from the East think that Westerners stink of sour milk...because we consume so many milk products. It is likely what we eat affects the way we smell, I know someone who eats a ton of garlic and you can smell it in his sweat. But basically, if you keep yourself reasonably clean I don't think there's going to be a huge difference.

Vegan who does use deoderant.
