I am thinking Of becoming Vegan, what is good and bad things about being vegan?!
Answers:
good things:
cheap food-
lentils
rice\
potatoes
soymilk
tofu
pintobeans, black beans
fava beans
split peas
all vegetables
all fruit
almond milk
almond cheese
almon butter
peanut butter
peanuts brazils, walnuts cashews
baked pumpkin
stuffed mushrooms
lots of lovely food. No stocky greasy lumps of dairy or meat inside you .
Bad things- nothing,
I've been a vegetarian for 19 years, and tried being a vegan for a few years, so here's my list:
Good: nothing (honestly, in my own opinion)
Bad: It's expensive if you buy pre-packaged vegan food (think Amy's organic) OR it can be cheap, but this is only if you plan on spending lots of time cooking and preparing meals. Do you have time?.I'm in college and don't have the time. Also, as a vegetarian I'm already limited when eating out..when I became a vegan it was nearly impossible to eat out anywhere. I also lost a lot of weight since many items in a vegan diet aren't high in calories (this is a bad thing for me since i'm already skinny....I got to be skin and bones).
Again, this is just my opinion and it could be different from you. I personally love food and as a vegetarian for practically my whole life I'm already limited from lots of good smelling food (talking about meat...last time i ate that was at 4, i'm now 23 yrs old) so why would I want to limit my experiences in life any more? When you travel dont you want to try delicious food much of which will contain dairy or honey? Personally, unless I had health issues that forced me to be vegan, I wouldn't again. A large part of my diet IS vegan but I enjoy a dash of rennet-free cheese on my soup or a tablespoon of horomone free milk in my malt o meal.
Again, it's all personal preference. Do what you want....:)
variety is the spice of life
Good: you feel. . . idk. . . wholesome and powerful- its great.
Bad: no cookies (because you can't eat eggs) and sometimes you get bored of your food.
Good: Very healthy.
Bad: You can get bored with food but oh well. . .
cant eat fish
