I'm becoming a vegetarian :) any tips? ?!

Beans are an important part of a vegetarian diet. They are a good source of protein and make a complete protein in combination with rice, corn, or another grain. You should eat a variety of different beans. Go to any large grocery store and look for canned beans in the canned vegetable aisle and start trying different kinds. Black, pinto, kidney, chick peas, etc.
Dark green leafy vegetables such as: spinach, broccoli, kale, collard greens, Swiss chard, beet greens, etc. are also important.
Eggs are a good source of protein, but are high in cholesterol so no more that 2 per day and no more than 7 per week.
Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. Try to eat every color of the rainbow in fruits and veggies every week.
Go easy on high fat proteins such as peanut butter and cheese. Also remember that many cheeses, esp. hard cheeses are made with animal rennet which is a slaughter byproduct. Research the internet for more information about that because most cheese packages will only say enzymes in the ingredient list without telling you if the enzymes are a slaughter byproduct or not..
Good luck, but be really careful to get ALL the vitamins your missing from meat. I became a vegetarian too about two years ago, but I wasn't getting enough Iron, Protein, B-12, etc, and I ended up in the hospital. Now I eat meat once or twice a week, which is good because you don't have to drop meat ENTIRELY to feel good about not eating it. So be really careful! If you don't think your getting enough of the things you need while not eating meat, then stop being a vegetarian.
Examples-
Cheese
Milk
Beans
Tofu (or fake meat you can find it, it's pretty good and has lots of Protein)
If you can find a vitamin with Iron in it, that's good to take.
Lots of green leafy vegetables
And overall I would say just get a wide variety of all food groups! :)
im not a vegetarian, but i would say, eat vegetables, and not meat, some people eat tofu ( i dont know what that is ) lol , and just make sure you eat all the stuff you need to eat, like calcium, nutrients, protein dont know, everything you need, with out meat lol good luck ;D i admire you to be kind to animals ;D
Lots of iron and protein. You get so much of your iron from red meat, and tons of protein from white meats. Be really careful. If you feel weak for a long time, or you feel tired all the time after the switch, this might not be for you. I know it sometimes feels wrong to eat meat, but it's part of what keeps us healthy, so cutting out of your diet can really be quite dangerous.
Im a vegetarian, have been since earlie 2007. I would eat alot of veggies and beans with protein in it, switch up what you eat daily so you get alot of variety in nutrition.

Don't do it. It's too big of a fuss always worrying about what you are eating (like inspecting your pizza for hidden pieces of meat, etc.) waaaayyy to time consuming...
Was vegetarian for 3 months.
Make sure to read labels! some things contain meat that people don't even now about! Certain types doritos actually had meat in it! take caution
