I won't to become a vegetarian for 4 weeks to help loss weight. Can any body help me with some good recipes?!
Answers:
First off, fish is not a vegetarian food or meal.

Second, you need to find healthy alternatives to meat if you are going to go vegetarian. Many new vegetarians overconsume grains and carbs to get their energy and protein. That's a huge mistake. For protein you need to eat low carb legumes, seeds, nuts, etc.. stuff like that. Trail mix for example, is wonderful; great source of protein and antioxidants.
Third, meals should be whatever you like. Customize your meals to your likes and dislikes; just make sure you are not consuming to many calories and are getting all the nutrients you need. I personally like a nice bocca burger on a 100% whole wheat bun with a fruit smoothie on the side for a drink.
edit:
As for only 4 weeks, thats not sufficient. You should go vegetarian for at least 1 year if you are trying to improve your health and lose weight. When you go back to eating meat after that 1 year you should work it into your diet very slowly. You should not go back to eating it every day either or you will regain the weight. Meat has lots of calories, mostly from fat. I suggest you eat meat, when you start eating it again, only once a week (maximum).
BBG, very miss-leading.
1. Foods high in fat, unlike with meat eaters who over consume fat, are good for vegetarians as the diet by design is extremely low fat. You know, diet should be balanced anyways.
2. NOT all nuts and seeds are high in fat. Some examples: chestnuts, lotus seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds. I could go on and on. All other seeds and nuts too, the one's I did not mention, actually have less saturated fat then fish you suggested he eat, except cod of course.
3. NOT all fish and poultry is low fat. Matter of fact, most is not. Cod is actually the only fish low in fat, but that's getting extremely hard to find now and whne you do find it its expensive. Stocks have been so depleted from overfishing. Its actually very hard to find in the stores anymore.
4. You are not totally correct about cheese. Normal cheese is high in fat, but unlike with fish and poultry there are fat free versions. You can find them in most any store now a days. Nevertheless, I did not suggest he eat tons of cheese.
5. Poultry has never been low fat. Even the low fat versions still have tons of saturated fat and saturated fat, even if its in small amounts, is extremely unhealthy .. especially for the cardio vascular system.

Note: Vegetarians tend to not be ignorant about diet and nutrition like most meat eaters would could just care less. Vegetarians, for the most part, actually care about their bodies and the planet they live on.
There is only one way to lose weight....use more calories than you eat.
So if you want to lose weight, exercise more and eat less calories. The easiest way to eat less calories is to quit eating so much fat and sugar.
Fish and white poultry meat is very low in fat while many non-meat items are LOADED with fat (for example, cheese and nuts).
If you want to lose weight you need to change your lifestyle and eating habits permanently, not just for four weeks.
vegweb is good and has heaps of recipes
if i was you, and i wanted to lose weight you will need to go vegan for the four weeks as dairy is very high in fat
fish?
