What veggies and fruits else can I eat besides Oranges and Apples ?!

Question: What veggies and fruits else can I eat besides Oranges and Apples ?
I want to get healthy . I mean really healthy . I have been fighting all those weight I put on from depression and overeating for years. Now I am very close to losing the final few pounds. But I know these are the hardest. I never gave a microscopic evalutation on my eating habits while I lost this much weight.

I am thinking of going to the supermarket in about an hour :) What do you think I should buy besides Apples and Oranges . Although , i am not sure when will be the best time to eat them , while at work . Apples are Ok right ?

What other fruits and foods(veggies) are out there , that I can eat which Will make my body feel great and mind sharper ?

Answers:

Grapefruit, maybe. That's what I eat every other morning.

And if you are eating apples, eat them before a meal. They help your metabolism! Or like, digest your food faster or something. It was something like that- all I know is it helps you lose weight faster.

Almost all veggies and fruits are going to make you feel great! But you should take in more veggies than fruits. I recommend broccoli, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, peppers (of all colors!), turnips, radishes, apples (they kill bacteria in your mouth, which can be a must, plus there are many different kinds), blueberries, raspberries, bananas (they keep you full), oranges (to fight off scurvy), and so many more! Just make sure that you're not only living off of fruits and veggies and make sure that you are getting enough protein to fill you up.

Have fun shopping!

There are so many fruits and veggies out there! Here are some tasty ones that I love and think are in season right now!
Fruits:
grapes
blue berries?
mangos
grapefruits
tangerines
avacodos
bannanas
pineapple

Veggies:
bell peppers
carrots
brocolli
calliflower
tomatoes (I know this is a fruit but I still consider it a veggie)
potatoes
baby spinach

P.S. You can also take fruits and fat-free yogurt and blend then together for an appetizing smoothie

Look for stuff that's in season. It will be easy on your wallet and I always think that there's a reason why things are in season (maybe they offer the things our bodies specifically need at that time of the year). I don't know where you live, but there are calculators that you can use online to plug in your state and time of year to see what's available. Right now I'm eating strawberries and grapefruit and it's pretty good stuff.

Eat them any time!

Grapes are particularly good for snacking on, I think. And cherries when they're in season. Melon is good (and reeeeally low calorie with a high water content) but it takes a bit of preparation. Cut it into cubes as soon as you get home so you don't put it off, and keep it in a sealed box in the fridge to eat whenever you're ready. Berries are really good too, especially strawberries.

For more savoury snacks (sweet fruits are higher in calories than these) try veg sticks such as carrot, cucumber, peppers and celery. Raw button mushrooms are nice and go well with cucumber. If these veg sticks are too plain, try dipping them in a low-fat houmous, guacamole or cream cheese.

Congrats on your weightloss - I know you can lose those last few pounds too!
