How do I make miso soup?!

Question: How do I make miso soup?
Okay, so I made some miso soup (mellow white miso), but in the bottom of the bowl there was all these leftover bits from the miso, even though when I mixed it in a separate cup before adding it, it seemed thoroughly mixed. I don't have a food processor OR a blender either :-\ It this normal? Should I have mixed more thoroughly? The water that I mixed it with was warm....

Answers:

The miso paste ALWAYS settles- you have to keep whisking it. IT goes cloudy and forms lumps. I like to eat these with a spoon!

Man I LOVE miso paste.

If you're into an idea- this is so tasty- make toast with wholegrain bread, spread with butter then a spreading of miso paste - not too much.

it is soooo good.

It's completely normal. If you let miso soup sit for more than like a minute without stirring it will always seperate. Idk I guess the paste is heavy.

Every miso soup I've had has leftover bits/trub/junk on the bottom of the bowl. Should be normal.

How did it taste?
