Why are synthetic hormones in meat controversial?!

Question: Why are synthetic hormones in meat controversial?
im saying that they are controversial kuz they help the livestock maarkket but they deteriorate our health how can i say this in an essay witout needed a citation

Answers:

It's only controversial for those who are anti meat or for the EU who are trying to protect their own beef industry.

Hormones in livestock are perfectly safe. it's been proven over and over. Even though the EU refuses to import beef that has been fed additives, they have never been able to prove them harmful. The World Trade Organization has continually levied fines against them for unfair trade practices.

The hormones used on livestock are the same as the ones in your own body. They are absorbed and used by the animals. There is no residue and if there were, your body would not reject them. They're normal.

Citations? From the link:

"Most significantly, the panel found that the EU’s import ban on hormone-treated beef - despite modifications in 2003 in response to an earlier WTO ruling - was not compliant with multilateral trade rules, since it was not backed by an adequate scientific risk assessment. The panel effectively sided with US and Canadian claims that the EU’s ban remained scientifically unjustified."

Farmers pump their livestock with hormones so that they can grow plumper and faster without requiring extra feed. The hormones are stable and not broken down at a high temperature, meaning that they are still in complete form when one consumes meat. These hormones have been linked with early puberty, tumors, cancer risks and genetic problems - so much so that many countries are now banning them.

http://www.sustainabletable.org/issues/h… According to the European Union’s Scientific Committee on Veterinary Measures Relating to Public Health, the use of six natural and artificial growth hormones in beef production poses a potential risk to human health.iii These six hormones include three which are naturally occurring—Oestradiol, Progesterone and Testosterone—and three which are synthetic—Zeranol, Trenbolone, and Melengestrol.

For the sake of your grade, I suggest you use spell check, you learn what proper nouns are and you learn what sentences are. I think every one of my teachers took off for spelling in papers, even my math and science ones.

Synthetic hormones are about business and the almighty dollar. The more synthetic hormones the poor animals can be raped with, the bigger and supposedly better tasting the meat is, and the more people will buy it and the more money the corporations will make. This is one of my very short answers as to why I'm vegan. However, I suggest you give citations as it will make your paper look better, even with your atrocious, spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
