Yes, a huge difference. Lettuce virtually has no nutrition in it (it isn't bad at all for you, but at the same time it won't do much for you either unless we're talking Romaine lettuce), it is basically water. Whereas cabbage has a lot of essential nutrients (such as Iron, Vitamins A b c and e, fibers, potassium and a little protein) and is very healthy
Cabbage is a slightly tough carciferous vegatable ( it is sulphur-tasting, and gives off gas when cooked, also combats cancer as do all cerciferous veg)
Lettuce is a pale water-filled vegetable which should never be cooked cabbage is good raw and cooked and can withstand a lot of cooking, but lettuce goes to mush if you cook it.
