This is what I believe, does any other animal lover believe this too?!

Question: This is what I believe, does any other animal lover believe this too?
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

After my dog, cat, and budgie died, I could still feel their presence, for a long time and I know I will see them again, this is what I truly believe.
Does anyone feel the same?.

Your pets don't want you to mourn for them they are happy in heaven waiting for you.

Answers:

If these animals in Rainbow Land are happy and well fed, doesn't that mean they will be killing and eating other animals? That's the only thing that makes my animals happy and well fed.

Hey!

Yes. I would love to believe this is true :) thankfully I haven't lost any of my dogs yet, I have an 8yo mini foxy x chihuahua (i've had her since she was 7 weeks old) and she is my first dog and I have a 4yo border collie. :)

None of my pets have died. I don't see my dog Skipper anymore, though. Daddy brought him to a beautiful ranch in the country where there are lots of other dogs to play with. Daddy says that he's really happy there.

This is my heart's desire as well, I don't want to go to a heaven where my pets aren't there.

BTW, thanks for making me cry on this beautiful Sunday afternoon :)

I love my pets!

I read this same thing here on Yahoo only yesterday, posted by another user. It perennially turns up here. Whilst the sentiment is lovely I don't get why people continually copy/paste it.

Oh, my parents told me our dogs when to Rainbows and lollipop land when they died, guess they decided they wouldn't be happy at Rainbow Bridge...:-O

I actually believed that when I was a small child and when I was smoking pot back in college.. Then reality set in..

Sure it would be nice if this were true. That's why I think a lot of people believe in god because its a nice thought to think you will see all your loved ones in a perfect after life. But common sense tells me this will not happen. The thought of everyone going to a magical place for eternity seems a little out of the realm of possibility.
