Grapefruit is a wonderful and healthy food. You can juice it like orange juice and mix it half and half with water. You can peel it like an orange and eat the slices. Pink grapefruit is sweeter and generally more delicious, less sour. Avoid putting sugar on top of grapefruit. Even though it is acidic, citrus fruits, including grapefruit tend to have an alkiline effect in the body. Eat it in moderation. It is very high in vitamin C. The white stuff around it is high in bioflavinoids. When you first feel a cold comind on, eat lots of citrus, especially grapefuit. Very healthy for you. Good luck.

it's a fruit of course it's good for you

Grapefruit is high in vitamin C. Orange has more vitamin c though i think. I usually cut my grapefruit in half, just my style.

grapefruits are healthy for you...the help tp break down food quicker...its best to eat just plain ol grapefruits not ruby red because they have more sugars in them. you can eat it just like an orange or grapefruit juice takes the same affect

1: you could squeeze the juice out of the grape fruit add some sugar and put it in the freezer then when it is almost frozen all the way you take it out and scrape it then you eat it.

Yeah, grapefruit is good for you. I think it has a higher content of Vitamin C than an orange does. It's also supposed to be good for you if you're trying to lose weight.

The best way to eat grapefruit (personally) is to peel the outer part and make sure you only eat the flesh, not the white "inner" peel. The peel is what makes the grapefruit bitter.

I found some extra information here:

Maximising the benefits of grapefruit

Grapefruit is best eaten peeled and raw. This is more beneficial than grapefruit juice. It is important also to eat the skin around the segments. Grapefruit is best eaten when fresh and chilled as this maximizes its vitamin C content.

You can try "world's healthiest foods org." you will find it at www.whfoods.com
I hope this helps.

Yes it is good for you, unless you have or get high blood pressure....then you can't have any because it makes your blood pressure go up. I have high blood pressure and love grapefruit and can only have one every now and again.

Yes its very good for you, I think its good for vitamin C or some other vitamin.

I know it's good for you, or my mom wouldn't let me eat it, lol (^_^). But I don't know what it's good for, exactly. I would assume it had citrus in it, but you probaly knew that already. Anyway, I usually cut it in half, sprinkle some sugar on it and scoop out the sections with a spoon. It tastes really good, but sometimes the juice squirts in my eyes. Not fun stuff, but it doesn't happen too often. Hope I helped!

Yes... I'm a grapefruit.

Yes it is good for you, high in fiber and vitamin C
BUT
if you are on a medication that reacts with grapefruit it can be very very bad. check with your parmacist if you take prescription medication.
