Where can I get pasture raised meat?!

Question:

Where can I get pasture raised meat?

I found out the way animals are treated and raised in mass producted factories, and I want to go organic!

Answers:
I don't know of many vegetarians who would know exactly where to buy a particular kind of meat, but I'll try to answer your question.
A natural foods store would probably have what you are asking for. But, if you're really concerned about how animals are treated and raised, consider going organic, and NOT eating meat.

Organic is no better.

Organic refers to the feed they are given and has nothing to do with how they are housed. You can still have Organic factory farms. Free range is no big step either because it's more of a marketing term than anything. By definition a free range animal has to be let outside for a few hours a week. It really doesn't do much to alleviate suffering. Also keep in mind that there is no Organic slaughterhouse. The animals still meet the same fate in the same unspeakably cruel manner that the regular ones do..

Organic does not mean vegetarian.

Whole Foods market carries some great organic meat products. Check their website and see if you've got one near you. If you are going to eat meat, I think its great that you want to know that it was raised humanely.
