Where can I buy dehydrated tofu?!

Question:

Where can I buy dehydrated tofu?

I was recently in Mexico, and I had some "dehydrated tofu" It was so delicious but I cant find any here in the states. Any ideas of where I can buy it. It comes in plastic bags and it has a light brown kind of color. Any help would be appreciated!!

Answers:
Try going to an asian food store and ask them they may stock it

I am quite sure I see this at small asian markets.
locate one in your town.

good luck

You did not say where in the States you live............ that makes it hard to answer your question..........

Two nice brands: White Wave and Soy Boy. Usually found in the refrigerated section at natural food stores (about $2.50 -3.00 per 6 ounces). Dehydrated tofu is a Japanese product, so you can also try a Japanese food store.

Yes, I know where to get my dehydrated tofu, but I live in Europe. Sorry, don't know in what city you want to buy it!

Maybe these sites can help:

It is available in most Health Food Stores or health food supply online stores sometimes under
the Macrobiotic section. I love it in soups. I soak it in warm
water until it becomes soft and put it in soups and stews.

A good health food store will have it. They should also have some pretty good recipes for it, too.

You'll probably find it in a health food store or Asian grocery.

Anyone who sells this stuff should be shot .......... Tofu in any way shape or form should be banished to another planet as it all tastes like rubbery crap not matter what you try and do with it , sorry veggies but there it is ..............
