Please give me a recipe for hot German potato salad?


Answers:
5 medium potatoes
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 Tablespoons sugar or other dry sweetener
1 Tablespoon flour
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
salt and pepper, to taste
Bacos bacon bits or any vegetarian breakfast strip cut into pieces

Directions:
Bake potatoes.

While potatoes are cooling, heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add vinegar and water, and heat to boiling. Stir in sugar and flour, and stir constantly until thickened.

Peel and chop potatoes, and place into serving bowl. Gently stir in celery, onion, salt and pepper.

Pour warm dressing over potato mixture. Sprinkle liberally with vegan bacon bits, if desired. Serve warm.

Try this one...I've made it and it was great!

If your a veggie just omit the bacon or use a soy bacon!

6 medium potatos, cooked peeled and sliced
6 slices of bacon, cooked crisp then crumbled
3/4 cups diced onion
2 tbsp flour
1-2 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/3 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup water
Hot German Potato Salad

combine flour, sugar, salt, and celery seed
combine vinegar and water

Cool bacon and remove from pan. add onions to bacon grease and cook until transparent. sprinkle dry ingredient mixture into cooked onions an stir until its a smoothe paste. slowly add liquid mixture stirring constantly until its thick and bubbling, cook one more minute then poor suce over the potatoes and mix gently. serve it hot.
