Question for vegetarians...?!
Question for vegetarians...?
if i'm eating greens, than that means that i'm competing with other animals for food that will become scarce. if i eat meat, i'm decreasing the population of grazers and plants would grow uncontrollably. if i use synthetic material, i'm encouraging factories to polute more of the atmosphere and kill both humans and animals. after all that has been said and done.
WHY CAN"T I EAT AND USE A BIT OF EVERYTHING?????

Ummmmm....Just because someone is a vegetarian doesn't mean they are telling you not to eat meat. Why would you automatically assume that they want you to be like them? You can eat whatever you please, I won't say a peep. But, eating greens that a farmer grew for human consumption is *NOT* competing with other animals for food. Growing you own produce in your backyard isn't competing with the animals either, you would be supplying yourself with food. And...eating meat certainly doesn't result in plants growing uncontrollably, actually the opposite. The way that cattle are massed produced/slaughtered is actually deforesting most of our rain forests, quickly. Any food, plant or animal, that is mass produced by giant corporations to make lots of money is bad for our planet. Only sustainable farming is helpful to our habitat.

Vegetarian for 20 years, vegan for 4...now, I eat a bit of everything, kind of.
so!! eat a bit of everything.
If I understand your question, you feel that limiting yourself to vegetables or any other one item, you will imbalance the natural order of things and the wheels will fall off. Virtually all of the food you and I eat, unless you are some sort of jungle dwelling aborigine, is grown for our consumption. The world will not be overrun with squash and tomatoes if you stop eating beef. Nor will the vast herds of wildebeast diminish due to your choosing to hit the salad bar at the Sizzler. I don't know what sort of synthetic material you are eating, but I'd lay off of it. On the other hand if you continue to eat meat there are massive quantities of rainforest and water that are being poured into every pound of ground round, and talk about toxic emissions!
Uh, dude...you can eat whatever you want to eat. Just because I chose not to eat meat doesn't mean that you have to. Its that simple.
Actually, if you are eating greens, you are not competing with other animals for food (in my opinion). But, be honest, I don't agree with any of the things you just said.
I'm a vegetarian, and I don't agree with any of these.
Aaaah, to have such a simple mind.
I haven't stopped you from eating whatever you want . What is this, a challenge to the veggies?
Incidentally, animals dont eat spinach and brocolli in vegetarian mayonnaise. So you are really not competing with them. If you want to try competition - stoop and eat grass with the friendly neighbourhood cow !
well yes you can eat a bit of everything.... no one is gonna stop you!!
It amazes me that you really think the world is that simple.
You are not competing with anyone by eating greens. There is more then enough to go around. Do you really think supermarkets sell all the greens and veggies they stock?
Plants would not grow uncontrollably because they are controlled as it is.
no ones stopping you.
As long as there is food in the grocery store for 59p a tomato, I can guarantee you that it is not scarce. Start eating other things when they star charging £5. I wouldn't kill and eat my own pet, so I do not see why I should someone else's animal.
Oh give me a break ............... Get a life ................
Your so uneducated!
