Can vegetarians join Peta 2?!
Can vegetarians join Peta 2?
Since I'm 15 and my parents do the grocery shopping, I am vegetarian, not vegan. (Meaning I still use dairy and egg products, but not meat.) I like Peta 2 because it's geared more for younger people, but I'm not sure if it's okay that I'm not vegan.
Answers:
Anyone can join Peta 2, even if they are not vegan or vegetarian.
There is no way for them to know if you are a vegan or not.
ps- I am neither a vegan or vegetarian and I am a member of Peta 2.
I'm a vegetarian and I was a member of Peta2. They welcome vegetarians and vegans.
Yes anyone can join
yes
it is okay to join since u fit in the category but i wouldn't prefer joining it. It goes against eating meat, yea that's good, but it supports drinking alchol. why support that. but that's ur choice or not.
I would to get into Peta my self will they take deer hunters. There is nothing better than a big juicy steak cooked over the grill.I am a will life type person I hunt to manage wild life if it wasn't for all of the hunters the animal's would over populate and starve to death but i guest Peta would rather see them starve or get run over than feed some ones family it is not the hunters that is wrong it is all of the bleeding hearted Peta dumb people. You all need to get a grip. With out us hunters there would be no animals. This is from a card totem NRA member.
Vegetarians can definately join Peta 2. As you are fifteen years old I think you would fit well within the average age group, so you would probably enjoy talking to people on the forums. There are plenty of vegetarians that have joined, even though Peta promotes veganism more than vegetarianism. Ultimately it probably doesn't even matter - the purpose of Peta is supposedly to promote animal rights. Anyway, hope that helps, good luck and have fun =)
Yeah, you can -- but/and 'vegetarian' and 'animal rights activist' should not be linked -- and please don't. 'It's not big and it's not clever.'

Which is more believable? The PETA stuff is such malicious garbage I'm almost buying Iams out of retaliation. Their tactics just aren't that effective, especially over the long term. The propaganda they mail out encouraging people to go vegan (NB: they claim 'vegetarian' when they really mean 'vegan,' which annoys me quite a bit) is pretty antagonistic. I doubt that anybody's giving up cheese because they were made to feel morally inferior.

A lot of PETA2 members seem _very_ young, and it bothers me no end that they target children like that. (Hey! If you've got the time and energy, go join a group that campaigns against advertising targeted to children...)

Even my cat would be embarrassed to associate herself with PETA.
