Does a vegetarian diet work any?!

Question:

Does a vegetarian diet work any?

Answers:
Yes, but listen, you only live life once, enjoy yourself and eat WHATEVER you want, WHENEVER you want and as MUCH as you want. It's not about the size, it's about how you wear the clothes.

When a habitual meat-eater switches to vegetarian diet, it takes a toll on that person's body. Firstly, the sterroids and such that are in the meat these days do effect our bodies more than one thinks. They allow muscle growth and in some cases can even promote a stronger immune system; therefore, when you stop eating meat for a certain amount of time, it's detrimental to your health.

Secondly, and probably more importantly, your protein and vitamin levels drop significantly. Unless you speak to a physician and are coached on what replacement vitamins and minerals you SHOULD be taking in place of red meats, poultry and fish, then you should try not to ruin what your body has going for it thus far.

It's okay to CUT DOWN on red meat consumption, IE take it away two, three or even four days a week. But unless you get to know which proteins, vitamins, etc you have to replace, try not to completely cut it out.

If you're looking to loose weight, don't drink any sodas or consume excessive amounts of junk foods. Try drinking warm water in place of your daily beverages, and take a walk around the block each night before you go to bed. It really does help, trust me. I've done this before, and lost the extra weight I had on within a few weeks.

ill send you a cow and a slaugtering machine and well find out

A diet that makes you eat a specific way, in order to make you aware of what you are putting into your body, will work.

Vegetarian is usually a way of life for most vegetarians, not just a diet. If you stop eating meat, you can still eat alot of dairy and eggs and not lose any weight. You can still eat alot of junkfood that contains sugar and fat and preservatives and still be vegetarian.

Just start paying attention to what you do eat, and if being a vegetarian will make you pay attention to what you are eating, then go ahead and do it.

It does when you strictly follow the rules... Somehow when food is eaten moderately it is good for our health.

It not a diet stupid it a way of life

Last June I gave up meat (including seafood and poultry) and all alcohol ... By November I had lost over 30 lbs! I didn't starve .. I ate rice, pasta, beans and of course, lots of vegetables! Good luck!

Work any what? It works for me in many different ways.

Work in what way?
Dr.Dean Ornish prescribed it for his recovering heart patients..many Cancer victims use it to heal with..you can lose weight on it because veggies are low erfat than flesh foods.
To become a "Veggie or Vegan" is a life style not a diet.
