What is a good spices.?!

Question:

What is a good spices.?

can anyone tell me a good pick me up spice when cooking canned corn or string beans.

Answers:
I try to jazz up canned veggies ALL the time, and it does really help.

Corn: add the juice of one lime, a couple dashes of hot sauce, some salt & pepper, and chili powder.

String Beans: a great way to make them taste better is to brown up some bacon in the pan, take it out and cook the beans in that pan. Saute with some sliced onions and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add the crumbled bacon and at the very end add some white vinegar. Let it cook out a little, it will be so good - a mix of salt and sweet :)

Use a chicken boullion cube or two in the water, along with a pat or two of butter, and a dash of pepper.

Dill really perks up vegetables.. so does basil but
if you want a kick in them add some paprika :-)

lawery season or garlic salat

salt and pepper and butter is all I use.....some people put a teaspoon of sugar in thier corn

I think Curry and Sage are wonderful spices and under used ones as well. Curry has a sweetness to it. You only need a little bit to give your veggies a whole new flavor.

if you would like an indian flavour try this, gently heat a little corn oil or butter or even a mixture of both, drop in a little curry powder & chopped cilantro into the heated fat, take off the heat ,pour over the cooked corn or beans , mix in gently.

I like seasoned salt on veggies. It is mainly salt with some other seasonings in it.

cayenne. I love it!

Try your choice flavor of Mrs. Dash, oregano, chives, cayenne pepper, Italian seasoning, Oriental seasoning, Lawry's garlic salt with parsley flakes, or Emril's Essence.
