What is IN food that makes creatures CRAVE for it.?!

Question:

What is IN food that makes creatures CRAVE for it.?

Answers:
One reasin is that our bodies are simple machines. When we have a craving for a particular food often it's because our bodies know that what ever nutrient they need has been found in that food in the past.

Another reason, is as someone else said. Sugar. Sugar is addictive. Companies put it in everything now because addiction creates product loyalty.

Glucose, Sucrose, Fructose, High Fructose Corn Syrup being the absolute worst. Absolutely toxic to our systems. Maltose, dextrose.

Next time you grab a bag of chips, read the ingredients. They started putting sugar in.

Sugar and sweeteners are very addictive and these are normally what make people crave food.

Otherwise, if you mean food in general, it's because we need food to survive.

estrogen?

CARBS...THEY TURN TO SUGAR!

Nutrients?

A simple answer would be fat. Fat is very calorie dense and it made sense for early humans to eat it. We did not know when we would get our next meal, and fat is a good source of calories. Naturally since it was favorable from an evolutionary standpoint for us to consume high fat things our taste buds, and bodies began to crave it.
Obviously now this isn't so great for us anymore since we can get food way more easily. Fortunately your taste buds are easily retrained after a few weeks when you stick to a low fat, meat free diet.

If you would like a more detailed explanation of food addiction and craving, the book: Breaking the Food Seduction by: Dr. Neal Barnard is great.
