Is egg is vegetarian?!

Question:

Is egg is vegetarian?

Answers:
Lacto is a term used for milk or dairy, so a lacto-vegetarian will still eat things that contain dairy products.
Ovo is the term for eggs, so a person who is ovo-vegetarian will still eat things that have eggs in it.
A lacto-ovo vegetarian eats things that have both eggs and dairy.

if your asking if a vegetarian can eat eggs the answer is no because it comes from a chicken

This question doesn't make sense!

there is a type of vegetarianism called ovo-vegetarian that eat eggs, but it is ultimately up to your beliefs.

LOL... are you serious?.. Do eggs grow in gardens? Is it a plant? Did you plant the egg seed in the ground and grow it, nurture it, water it?... NO!... That question is really a no brainer... sorry..

some vegetarians eat eggs but vegans don't. eggs aren't fertilized so some think its ok.

yes definately, becoz
in the stall of egg it is written that
Pure Vegetarian eggs.

I have always be called a vegetarian . I eat eggs and milk products. Vegans is the name generally used for those who eat no animal products. It is a little confusing. Eggs are surely not plant material, so I'm not really a vegetarian. I just do not eat flesh.

No egg is not veg. as:-
1. it contains life
2. watch a half hatched egg. inside, u will find bones & flesh of half developed baby.
3. an unhatched egg, is one huge single cell(like any other microscopic cell in the body)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

however, there are eggs that dont contain life right from the day they r layed. they r called poultry eggs, and r produced by giving special injections to the hen. Even MK Gandhi considered poultry-eggs as veg(to which i dont agree)!!!!!!!!!!!!

it actually depends what type of vegetarian are you ......

if you are the life long vegetarian then you can eat egg...

if its just a certain day you choose to be a vegetarian then you cannot eat egg.....

i got ask around my frens when i was as curious as you....

there are vegetarians who eat eggs. Normally vegtarians eat free range eggs. they taste better and are a bit more expensive, unless you have someone who owns hens and sells the eggs. probably that way they will be a bit cheaper.

yes

Dear:
Your question has some meanings, ofcause. This is a common question for our people, because there is point that "Vegetarian Egg"

Firstly, see a pure vegetarian person does not eat any kind of egg

Secondly for your question:
Eggs are normally two types which so many people do not know.

1. Egg a female "chicken/hen" gives without a male support

2. Egg a female stay with male "chicken" and produce eggs which has life and can produce "baby chicken"

The first one without male contact and the second one with freequent male contact which can make next generation.

Some religion believe the first egg is OK for them to consume as it is "vegetarian" but I do not know what they mean here?

And those people do not eat the second type of eggs....

Now you tell me egg is vegetarian or not?

I eat egg and I like it very much, now I am of fat and avoided meat, egg etc. eat FISH which has less fat good proteins and good for our health.

Myself even avoid tea/coffee, etc. and consume more yogurt/curd, etc. and more fresh vegetables daily.

According to my believes, what you eat is not the problem it should be good for your health which is important....

Best of Luck

Eggs are something that almost all "vegetarians" eat because they are ignorant of how to eat correctly and need to cheat. Vegetarianism, unless it is done within very strict rules, is not a diet you can live on. Most vegetarians are just fooling themselves and aren't eating correctly. Since that is inimical to life, they have to do something to compensate (or starve to death), so they eat eggs.

There is nothing wrong with this, except for it being rather hypocritical. The thing you need to watch out for is if your diet is healthy or not. If you are forced to eat eggs or cheat in other ways, you probably are eating an unhealthy diet. So be aware of this if you are eating vegetarian in order to be healthy. If you are eating processed "vegetarian" foods, then you might as well be eating at McDonald's for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are equivalent diets, healthwise.

no egg is nonveg

I think it depends on what egg you eat. If it is fertilized then it is not vegetarian, but if not then it's safe for vegan. Because the egg is just like the regular ovulation when not fertilized and no infants will be growing inside.

YOUR ANSWER IS YES AS WELL NO...

YES BECAUSE DUE TO COMING TECHNOLOGY NOW UNFERTILIZED EGGS ARE COMING.. SO IT IS VEG...AS MILK IS.

NO- BECAUSE THIS IS NOT ADOPTED EVERYWHERE MAY BE DUE TO LACK OF TECHNOLOGY, FINACE ....
SO IF THAT IS THE CASE AND U R VEGETARIAN THEN YOU SHOULD THINK BEFORE GOING FOR IT

:-)

ummm... egg is not meat but later egg will become a chicken so it means it will become a meat. I'm a little bit confused. mayb u should not eat it or u can eat it. I don't know!

egg is proper non-vegetarian b'coz chicken get their life from eggs only. If we eat egg we are killing chicken who can take birth from egg

Egg is not vegetarian.
No argument
If you wish you can take any food you want
then argument continue... milk is a vegetarian or not...

if you think..it is veg.. instead you take neutrious other vegetables
sometimes egg creates some problems to kids and ladies.

Is Don. Is Good.

Is egg is vegeterian - is not vegan.

Vegetarian yes. Vegan no. Not all vegetarians eat eggs though. I do not.

Yes, eggs are vegetarian. They are not vegan. It's very simple and this is not a controversial issue because the eggs that you buy and eat are not fertilized. They are simply byproducts of the chicken. Of course, many people are beginning to realize that the majority of egg-laying hens are treated worse than any food animal, so if you're attempting to live a cruelty-free life, I'd avoid eggs first. Vegetarians can eat eggs. Vegans ("strict vegetarians") cannot. Most vegetarians are ovo-lacto vegetarians, meaning that they eat eggs, cheese, milk, ice cream, etc.

Yes.. but not vegan

Most vegetarians will eat eggs (eggs in the store are infertile, so would never become a life, and the chicken does not die to make them), just like most vegetarians will consume dairy. However, there are some who do NOT eat eggs or dairy. There are also Vegans, who will not eat anything that comes from an animal, regardless of whether or not the animal was harmed.

Just depends on what type of vegetarian you are.

ya its 100% veg bec u cut it it not shouting and no blood

Eggs can be eaten by Ovo and Lacto - Ovo vegetarians. Lacto Vegetarians and vegans will not eat them. Vegans will not eat any animal product, milk, eggs, honey, cheese etc!!

No

Because it comes from hen and in egg there is also a life of chick, which we kill before it get breathe.

Yes, vegetarians eat eggs.
Vegetarians do not eat meat, though they do eat other animal products.
A Vegan does not eat meat OR any other animal products (like eggs...).
